1912 Hammond And Rock Island Topo Map

Things are not the same today as they are on this old map. Rock Island is now where the line crosses the river, having been moved from the location on the map to where the Ohio Colony Spur had been located.
Hammond was at a GN flag stop about 2 1/2 miles southeast of Rock Island, and was gone by 1914, though I can find no official records with the Great Northern Historical Society. It was a post office for the local area for a time.
Not sure why the dam is shown on this map, as it was not built until 1933. The railroad siding of Voltage was established there.
